“Beautiful cottage.
We stayed at Moughton cottage during New Year and had an absolutely wonderful time. The cottage is very well equipped, has good sized bedrooms and is very spacious. There is a beautiful outside space and the cottage has a lovely position in the village of Austwick where there is access to a great pub with fabulous food. The cottage is perfectly located to explore surrounding areas such as Skipton, Ingleton and Settle. It’s a beautiful cottage and I’m sure you would not be disappointed if you stayed.”

Lovely, cosy cottage in the centre of the village. Spacious and well equipped. Excellent communication from host. Would thoroughly recommend and will return. Whilst we were the first to book through booking.com many other people have stayed multiple times, according to the visitor’s book. Good walks through beautiful countryside directly from the cottage.”

“Perfect in every way!
An outstanding cottage in an ideal location. This feels like a home from home rather than just another holiday rental - spacious, comfortable and characterful. The location is fantastic; Austwick is a lovely unspoilt village, traditional stone cottages framed by views of the Dales- unchanged for years. There is a little shop, quiet pub with good food which has attached patisserie open in the morning selling fresh croissants, bread and pastries. Local walks with spectacular views are right on the doorstep and the cottage has everything needed after a day exploring .. a utility room with washing machine/dryer, two bathrooms one with a lovely shower, a living room with wood burner…and of course the family friendly village pub with garden and food in easy walking distance. The cottage is furnished and decorated with care, the private back garden is a bonus. We have stayed in the area numerous times - this is our favourite stay.”

“Lovely cottage in a peaceful village.
A lovely stay in a very comfortable, well-equipped cottage. We had a mostly wet week but we founds lots to see and do in the area, and the log burner was most welcome in the evenings! Some lovely walks in the area and we plan to return.”

“Lovely comfy cosy cottage
We had a great stay in Moughton Cottage. It was brilliant to be able to go for walks from the door and the off road parking was an added bonus as Austwick can get very busy. The cottage is very well equipped, with plenty of space for the four of us. The beds were comfortable and it was blissfully quiet at night. We had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to return!”

“Comfortable , warm and spacious.
Moughton Cottage was the perfect extension for my family gathering at Christmas . Comfortable , warm and spacious allowing options depending on when our toddler needed naps and bedtime. Pub literally on the doorstep, welcoming morning coffee and pastries, and in the evening cosy bar with great mulled wine. Walks from the door and easy walking for little legs including a play area for more fun. Thanks Kate for providing an easy booking and key collection.

“ A fantastic place to stay in a beautiful area.
We had a wonderful family holiday at Moughton Cottage over Easter. We have stayed here quite a few times over the years and each visit feels like coming home with our granddaughter racing upstairs to claim her bedroom. The cottage is very spacious and has a great relaxing, peaceful feel about it. It's cosy and warm if the weather is bad too and the wood burner is super efficient. The view from the front bedroom windows is a joy to wake up to & there are lots of walks straight from the door.
For a small village, Austwick is well supplied with a shop/post office, a pub/french bakery and a country house hotel for the odd upmarket meal while it's only a quick drive to Settle for anything else you need.
All in all, Moughton Cottage is a fantastic place to stay in a beautiful area. Needless to say, we'll be back there next year.”

“Warm and comfortable place to relax.
We have been back to stay for Easter week, after a five year break. The cottage is as beautiful as we remembered and is very fully fitted out. Booking a table is essential at the pub, which has opened a very good bakery recently. There are many walks in the surrounding countryside, where you are bound to meet a friendly local. This was our fifth visit; we love the cottage and the village, and would highly encourage a stay.”

“Wonderful cottage.
A lovely cottage in a great village (wonderful pub!) The cottage is very comfortable, well equipped. Both bedrooms are spacious, each with a good bathroom/ en-suite. Moughton cottage has lovely secluded garden to relax in, very quiet yet in the centre of the village. Parking onsite for one car was a real bonus. We walked out everyday from the cottage. Very pretty area with lots to do. Highly recommend and will definitely return if we are in the area.”

“Great location
Beautiful cottage in a lovely village. Austwick is a great base for walking and a short drive from Ingleborough Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls. Cottage is well looked after with everything you would need for your stay. Private parking and a beautiful garden. Good local pub but book in advance as it gets busy. Make sure you try the bakery attached to the pub as the cakes are delicious”
